A's WAVE
Founder/director, A's an interdisciplinary research lab featuring new music and mixed media performance art, founded in 1979. Performers included Jean Michel Basquait, the Coachmen (Sonic Youth), Phoebe Legere, Glenn Branca and Linda Burnham, & poet Bob Holman..
CURATOR
In 1985 A's extended to incorporate A Gallery with a visual art program, beginning with
"The Friend's show" in collaboration with No Se No, featured artists: Andy Warhol, Joseph Beuys, Karen Finley, New York. 1985
"Asia Artists of the East, featured artists, Ming Fay, Kyong Park, Toshio Sasaki, Shirin Neshat, Bing Lee, Nina Kuo.
Jack Tilton and Gracie Mansion both guest curated exhibitions. at A's The works of over 500 artists were presented. In the early & mid 1980's
"Artists in The Marketplace", co-produced with Rafael Jiminez, and hosted "Artists in the Marketplace", a Manhattan cable television show which presented visual artists of VAP (visual artist productions).
In the 1990's A's became A's Wave , a digital sibling which continued to performance and interactive projects now with multimedia technologies.
